In this interview of Csaba Szabo, from the Stanford Research Institute, we learn how The Silicon Valley succeeded in becoming the first Innovation Ecosystem in the world.

It’s particularly striking to note that this was allowed by a process that started in the early 1980’s:

  • A regulatory change that opened a world of opportunities for Universities and small businesses in 1980
  • The maturity of Venture Capitalism at about the same time
  • The ability to attract talents and make them mobile between companies and projects by creating a challenge-oriented culture
